Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa, President of AICMA
Sh . Onkar Singh Pahwa, born in 1952, joined his family run business in 1974 as management trainee immediately after completion of his graduation. He looked after various sections over the years and finally, took over as Managing Director in 2002 when the company’s production was appx. 1.4 million Bicycles and now it is close to 2.5 million per annum. Till that time, the company had a range of appx. 25-30 models and now the company offers a wide range of 170+ models in bicycles.
He is well versed with English, Hindi and Punjabi. His wide spread travels played a vital role in making AVON popular within India and in various countries across the globe. In his leadership, the company participated in various exhibitions in Europe, America, China and Taiwan and now the company has a strong presence worldwide.
He also diversified the company’s outlook in wind energy and solar energy.
He enjoys membership of many well renowned clubs / associations Pan India. He also finds time to look after the charity / CSR initiatives run by the company for betterment of health and education.
ISO 9001:2015 certified company Avon Cycles Limited, Ludhiana was incorporated in 1951. The company manufactures wide range of AVON brand Bicycles as well as E-Vehicles. Recently, the company has launched bicycles in CYCLUX brand as well in premium segment.

Sh. Onkar Singh Pahwa has one of the longest associations in AICMA including as Vice President and President. He was again unanimously elected as President of AICMA on 7th March 2020 for 2 years tenure.
