Aditya Munjal is the 3rd generation member of the promoter led Indian conglomerate: Hero Motors Company (HMC). HMC is a $1.2bn asset group with its focus on the business sectors of mobility and components. It is the market leader in both cycles and E-cycles in India and has an expanding global presence in automotive solutions.
Amidst experienced leaders of the cycling industry, Mr Aditya Munjal stands in his own right as a young visionary by bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas within Hero Motors Company and the Industry. Aditya’s style of functioning infuses energy and passion in his team.
Aditya Munjal finished his schooling from the British School, New Delhi following which he obtained a degree in Business Administration from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and certifications from Harvard University. Apart from being a passionate athlete who has played State-level golf & tennis, Aditya is a campaigner for developing new technology and infrastructure based on sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions globally.
At the mere age of 27 years, Aditya started his formal career with lifestyle chain, OMA, but has since accumulated experience with brands such as BMW, Ernst and Young, Rotax and Maruti Suzuki Limited.
In 2015, Aditya led the entry of Hero Cycles into the growing premium cycle segment by acquiring Firefox, and as CEO, he has made the brand the most profitable market leader in this segment with a 50% market share.
Aditya has also led Hero Cycle’s E-Cycles portfolio and has the vision to make it the number one business in short distance EV mobility solutions. He is also playing a key role for the Hero Motors Company in strengthening its global presence as well as a powerful advocate for policy level changes to make India a leader in cycle and e-cycle manufacturing. On 23rd March, 2024, Sh. Aditya Munjal was elected as President of AICMA for 2024-26 tenure.
