All-India Cycle Manufacturers’ Association (AICMA) elected a Next-generation leadership to head – Mr. Aditya Munjal of Hero Cycles as President and Mr. Rishi Pahwa as Vice President 2024-2026
The 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the All-India Cycle Manufacturers’ Association (AICMA), convened on March 23, 2024, at Hotel Hyatt Ludhiana, marked a pivotal moment as a next-generation leadership was elected. Mr. Aditya Munjal, representing Hero Cycles, assumed the role of President, while Mr. Rishi Pahwa, from Avon Cycles, was elected Vice President for the tenure spanning 2024-2026. Under the chairmanship of the outgoing President, Mr. U. Rajagopal, the meeting set the stage for transformative agendas.
In his inaugural address, Mr. Aditya Munjal expressed gratitude to AICMA and underscored the organization’s need to evolve its structure, operations, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with prevailing global market dynamics, contemporary manufacturing methodologies, and lightweight materials. Emphasizing governance excellence, he championed the “WE CAN DO PLEDGE” as a beacon for AICMA’s endeavors. Echoing these sentiments, Mr. Rishi Pahwa reaffirmed the intrinsic sustainability of bicycles and advocated for concerted efforts both within and beyond AICMA to fortify their relevance.
The AGM also offered a platform to acknowledge the commendable stewardship of Mr. U. Rajagopal during his presidency from 2022 to 2024. His tenure saw the implementation of numerous initiatives fostering growth and development within the Indian Bicycle Industry, in collaboration with Central Ministries and the Punjab Government.
Beyond the elected leadership, the AGM convened a distinguished gathering representing various AICMA member companies. Among them were notable figures such as Mr. Onkar Singh Pahwa, Mr. Vijay Munjal, Mr. Sachin Lakra, Mr. Rajesh Kapoor, Mr. S.K.Rai, Mr. Vishal Mahindru, Mr. Mohinder Kumar, Mr. Vikas Khana, Mr. G. D. Kapoor, Mr. Ashok Goyal, Mr. Grover, and Dr. Thakur SG AICMA. Additionally, post-AGM, prominent representatives from part manufacturers, including Mr. Harsimran Lucky, President of UCPMA, Mr. Sanjeev Pahwa of Ralson, Mr. Manjinder, and others, convened to foster collaborative dialogue and advocacy toward a shared vision.
